"Your required reading and listening this week ARE:
The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge (It was a very popular book about 2 years ago - let me know if you can’t find it and I’ll suggest something else)
Quite possibly the most interesting and readable Non-Fiction book I’ve ever read, and the book that showed me how to really love non-fiction. It opened my eyes to the fascinating and awe-inspiring world of neuroscience and changed the way I think about… life… the universe. Everything? (Argh, sorry, couldn’t resist.) Told in human stories, a must-read for the curious.
Drift by Nosaj Thing
Starting off with a slightly less well-known album because damnit, I love it and more people need to love it. Hands-down my favourite non-verbal electronic album. There was a while where I listened to this obsessively. My favourite song from the album, Fog, always reminds me of the Doctor Who theme.”
